St. Basil the Great
Feast Day: January 14
A brilliant theologian and defender of the faith, St. Basil stood firm against Arian heresy and laid the foundation for Eastern Christian monasticism. He authored the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil and established charitable institutions like the Basileiad, which served the poor, sick, and homeless—centuries ahead of their time.
Did You Know?
The Liturgy of St. Basil, still prayed in the Coptic Church today, was written by him and reflects his depth of theology and reverence for the Holy Trinity.
St. Joseph the Carpenter
Feast Day: December 26
St. Joseph, the earthly guardian of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, is the model of faithful obedience, quiet strength, and holy service. Though the Gospels record none of his words, his actions—his trust, protection, and hard work—speak louder than speech. He is the patron saint of families, fathers, and workers.
Did You Know?
Though never recorded speaking a word in Scripture, St. Joseph is honored as the silent guardian of the Word of God Himself.
